A BoxBrownie alternative
for agents who shoot every week
BoxBrownie charges US$2 an image and sends your photos to human editors. Visual Property Agent is software: $49 a month covers 100 photo enhancements, 100 Realistic 3D renders and 25 HD listing reels, and each one comes back in about 90 seconds instead of a day. Below is the honest comparison — including the jobs BoxBrownie still does better than we do.
The short answer
If you list occasionally and want a human to stage a room or redraw a floor plan, BoxBrownie is the right tool. If you shoot more than about fifteen photos a month and want them back before your coffee goes cold, per-image pricing stops making sense.
| Job | BoxBrownie | Visual Property Agent |
|---|---|---|
| Photo enhancement | US$2 per image | 100/month included on Solo ($49) |
| Turnaround | Human editors, typically next business day | About 90 seconds, any hour |
| Video from your stills | Virtual tour US$20 (up to 15 photos) | 100 Realistic 3D renders + 25 HD reels/month included |
| Vertical and unbranded versions | Ordered separately | Both built from the same job, free |
| Virtual staging | US$30 per image, human | We do not offer it — see below |
| Floor plan redraw | US$30–$40 | Not offered |
| Day to dusk | US$5 per image | Not offered |
| Free to try | Free trial edits | Free account: 3 enhancements, 3 reels, 3 Realistic 3D renders |

Where the money actually goes
Per-image pricing is fair when you buy a few images. It is the volume that turns it into a real line item.
$60 for one 30-photo listing
Thirty images at US$2 each. Four listings in a month is $240, and every re-shoot, price change and new angle is billed again. The work is good; the meter never stops.
$49 for the whole month
Solo covers 100 enhancements, 100 Realistic 3D renders and 25 HD listing reels a month. The break-even against $2 an image is twenty-five photos — most agents pass that on their first listing, and everything after it is free.
Where BoxBrownie is still the better buy
We would rather you read this here than find it out after you switch.
- Virtual staging. We do not offer it, and we are not planning to. A furnished room drawn by a human editor for US$30 is a different product from anything automatic, and it is the one BoxBrownie is best known for.
- Floor plan redraws and site plans. Hand-drawn from a sketch or a scan. Nothing we make replaces that.
- Day-to-dusk and item removal. Both are human edits on their side. Our enhancer corrects exposure, colour, noise and sharpness — it does not add, remove or change anything in the room.
- One-off jobs. If you list four times a year, a subscription is the wrong shape. Buy the images.
Where we are better
- Speed. A photo enhancement comes back in about 90 seconds; a Realistic 3D clip takes about three minutes and runs in the background with an email when it lands. Either way there is no queue behind a human editor and no next-business-day.
- Video, not just photos. Realistic 3D moves a real camera through the room reconstructed from your single photograph, so straight lines stay straight. Pick your clips, and we join them into one tour with a title card, an end card and music.
- Every format from one job. Landscape for the MLS, vertical for Reels and TikTok, branded and unbranded — built together, at no extra cost.
- Price that does not scale with your camera. A busy month costs the same as a quiet one.
- Disclosure built in. Because our enhancer only makes the common photographic corrections that California’s AB 723 explicitly excludes, ordinary enhancement does not trigger the altered-image disclosure. How that works.
Questions agents actually ask
Can I use both?
Most people should. Run your everyday enhancements and listing videos here, and order human virtual staging or a floor plan redraw from BoxBrownie when a listing needs one. The two do not overlap much.
Is AI enhancement as good as a human editor?
For exposure, white balance, colour, noise and sharpness — the work that makes up most of a per-image order — it is comparable, and it is instant. For judgement calls, a human still wins. Try a photo free and judge our output on your own worst shot, not on a marketing gallery.
What happens to my originals?
They are hashed on receipt and kept unmodified for the retention period on your plan, so you can always show what the camera saw. Details are on the disclosure page.
Do I have to commit?
No. The free account gives you three enhancements, three HD reels and three Realistic 3D renders with our watermark, no card. Solo is month to month.

Free account, no credit card. If it does not beat the $2 version, you have lost ninety seconds.
